NOTES
FOOD SECURITY and AGRO-FORESTRY

Small-scale irrigation

  • Irrigation partner and coordination carried away by community demand and focusing on food security and irrigation rather than the integrated child labour approach; in any case food security is a strong element of child labour reduction
  • 4 treadle pumps provided to poorer farmers through the revolving fund recipients

SOURCE INFORMATION DATE
  • Factsheet update from TECS, April 2006

  • Project visit, May 2006

Numbers are to be used with caution; they are provided as quantitative measurement at a given time. Communities’ changes of attitude concerning child labour are difficult to quantify.
