Together against child labour in Mozambique

A new platform to combat child labour in Mozambique

The ECLT Foundation joined together with the Government of Mozambique in a Memorandum of Understanding to create a platform to combat child labour and strengthen the rights of children, particularly those in situations of poverty and vulnerability in rural areas where tobacco is grown.

Over a 3-year period, the 2018 Memorandum of Understanding will focus on community education and training, awareness and communication, institutional capacity building and revising the legal framework.

24,000 children reached in the Tete Province

ECLT Foundation has a strong commitment to fight child labour in Mozambique and has reached over 24,000 children, farmers and families in the Tete Province since 2013.
