This page is dedicated to tools and models on understanding, preventing and addressing child labour in agriculture. These tools are based on research and learnings from ECLT's over 20 years of work. Each is designed to give practical information, as well as to provide a base for tailored technical assistance customised to a specific context.
La Máquina Youth Employment Model
The La Máquina Youth Employment Model™ was developed in Guatemala by the ECLT Foundation as part of its strategy to fight child labour across commodities in agriculture. It is a comprehensive guide on the model concept highlighting concrete results, as well as considerations and guidance on implementation.

Community Child Protection Committees Toolkit Overview
The toolkit provides an overview of tasks and roles of the Community Child Protection Committees (CCPC, also called Child Labour Committees), steps for implementation, key aspects to consider, good practices, potential challenges, specific tools for setting up the CCPCs and collecting and managing data.
CCPC Child Beneficiary Intake Form
The Child Beneficiary Intake Form should be completed by CCPC members through direct interviews with every child identified for withdrawal or prevention within the community. The form guides committee members to systematically ask the right questions and collect the right data to be able to determine whether children are at risk of and involved in child labour.
CCPC Child Monitoring Form
The Child Monitoring Form entails a set of questions that helps CCPC members to establish a track record of past visits and specific referral actions that have been arranged for the child. The form also supports committee members in coordinating future visits with a certain frequency and ensures that no child is left behind.

Overview of International Standards & Resources on Child Labour
This tool outlines the basics in regards international frameworks on child labour and highlights the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders. It provides guidance on core principles to ensure a sustainable and rights-based approach to address child labour, as well as additional resources and key messages to target stakeholders.
Assessing & selecting partners for social programmes
This is a third-party due diligence and capacity assessment tool. It is aimed to establish whether an entity considered for partnership has the appropriate capacity and systems in place to fulfil the role assigned to them.

Child labour Baseline Overview
This toolkit is designed for those who are looking for ways to carry out baseline assessments on child labour in a specific area, in alignment with a human rights based approach and best practices such as Governments, Businesses, Civil society, Practitioners, Unions, Associations, and other stakeholders.
Baseline Questionnaire for Children
The baseline assessment forms the basis for a ‘before and after’ assessment or a ‘change over time’ assessment. The assessment involves measuring the status of children, households, communities and institutions.
Head of Household Questionnaire
The data from the Head of Household Questionnaire is used to document the composition of the household, educational levels, economic status etc. The questionnaire makes sure that data collection is standardised, which allows for tracking of change over time.
Multi-stakeholder engagement against child labour
Establishing a baseline for UNGP alignment questionnaire
This assessment tool helps organisations get an overview of how existing business practices already align with the UNGPs and where there are gaps. This tool provides a template for businesses and other actors to assesses themselves against the principles in the UNGPs.
