Global March has launched a campaign to demand the inclusion of child labour elimination as a global priority. Eliminating child labour is critical to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS).

A key element of the campaign is a petition. The petition links the review of progress of the MDGs with the the Roadmap for Achieving the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour by 2016. The Roadmap calls for the mainstreaming of child labour into development plans and to establish indicators to support this process.

The petition aims to ensure that the UN, and Heads of State around the world, Keep The Promise of 2015 for child labourers worldwide. Global March will present a copy of the petition to the UN Secretary-General in September 2010 and will maintain the campaign during the follow-up to the MDG Summit.
