NOTES
GENERAL
  • A regional committee has been set up with representatives of government (8 Departments, including Labour and Employment, Agriculture (National Tobacco Administration), Education and Health), corporate sector (5 companies, including Philip Morris Int.) and trade unions (National Federation of Labour Unions)
  • Principal problem is school attendance, in particular during the tobacco peak season
  • Spill-over effect on siblings; overall reach estimated at 300-500 children
  • With awareness-raising more children will be reached but this is not yet quantifiable

SOURCE INFORMATION DATE
